Rhinoplasty For Men in Tampa

For upper eyelid surgery in males we remove less skin and leave in place the fat and muscle to avoid giving the upper eyelid a scultped look which can be more feminine.
Do Your Perform Browlifts in Men?
Dr Rayess performed brow lifts less often in males than females as the male brow has a lower peak than the female brow.
Who is a Candidate for Lower Eyelid Surgery in Tampa?
Lower Eyelid blepharoplasty is used to treat 3 main issues.
- Lower Eyelid Bags. This is caused by fat that normally sits in the eye portruding out over time. During the surgery we shrink or reposition these fat pads depending on the case.
- Tear trough deformity. This is the sunken in apperance that appears under the eye. It is caused by deflation and descent of the cheek fat that normally covers the bone at the bottom of the eye. To Fix it Dr Rayess will use fat from your body to fill in the hollows.
- Fine wrinkles in the under eye: Only a small amount of skin can be removed by the under eye due to the risk of ectropion or having a pulled down lower eyelid. Resurfacing procedures are also often needed like a TCA chemical peel which works well for the lower eyelid.
What is the Recovery Process for Lower Eyelid Surgery?
The Recovery process is pretty simple. You will be given detailed instructions. You will need to minimize strenuous activity for the first 2 weeks. If you have an incision on the outside, you will need to clean it with hydrogen peroxide. Bruising should subside by 7-10 days. If you need to go out in public earlier the bruises can be camouflaged.
How Long Does a Blepharoplasty Last?
For the upper eyelid the results can last about 12 years and then the skin will naturally sag and result in more redudant skin albeit this is usually less than the first surgery. The results of lower eyelid surgery last longer because the fat that is shrunk or repositioned do not recur as quickly.
Will Eyelid Surgery leave Scars?
Dr Rayess is very meticulous with his eyelis surgery. He uses natural creases to help camouflage the upper eyelid incision and it is almost impercpetible once healed. For the lower eyelid Dr Rayess often does the surgery from inside the eyelid which will not leave a scar. Occasionally when an external incision is needed it is hidden under the lashes and heals nicely.
