Who is a candidate for the Deep Neck Lift in Florida?
A deep neck lift is a great procedure to remove the heaviness in the neck. This procedure is typically done in younger patients who have good skin elasticity. Typically these patients are under the age of 40 although an exam is needed to determine the elasticity.
What is treated in the Deep Neck Lift?
The deep neck lift addresses all the layers in the neck including the superficial fat, the platysma muscle the deep neck fat and fascia as well as the deep neck muscles.

How is the Necklift different from a Facelift?
The necklift only address the heaviness and the sagging in the neck. In patients who have jowls and sagging around their jaw they will need a facelift or a mini facelift. Dr Rayess performs the deep plane facelift and combines a deep neck lift with his facelift procedure. This gives patients a sculpted jawline and smooth neck.
How is the Neck lift surgery Performed?
The surgery is performed under IV sedation similar to the anesthesia used in a colonoscopy. This means the patient is still breathing on their own and patients are not put completely under. Patients have a quick recovery with this type of anesthesia. It also decreases nausea.
What is the downtime for the Neck Lift?
The average downtime is 10 days. During this time you will have some swelling and bruising. If you are working from home you can typically go back to work in 2-3 days. At 7 days Dr Rayess will remove the sutures that were placed.
Why does Dr Rayess sometimes do a chin implant with a neck lift?
In patients who have weak chins, a chin implant is often recommended. This lengthens the jaw, and allows more of the skin and soft tissue to be draped over it. This helps patients get a more sculpted jawline. Dr Rayess will assess all these factors during your consultation.
